A brick-making machine is a specialized piece of equipment that produces various types of bricks or masonry blocks by mixing, pressurizing, and molding raw materials (such as concrete, fly ash, cement, and sand and gravel). It is widely used in the construction and building materials industry, meeting the needs of various applications, including wall construction, floor paving, and slope protection.
The raw materials are mixed according to a specific ratio (for example, concrete bricks require a ratio of cement: sand and gravel: water of approximately 1:3:0.5, adjusted based on strength requirements) and then blended in a mixer into a uniform slurry or dry, hard mixture (dry, hard materials are more suitable for press molding and reduce cracking).
If the raw materials contain impurities (such as large particles in fly ash), they must first be filtered through a screening machine to prevent them from affecting the molding quality.
Distribution and Press Molding
The mixed raw materials are evenly distributed into the mold cavity by the distribution system (the mold shape determines the brick size and hole design; for example, hollow block molds have a "core rod" to create the holes). The molding machine applies pressure (typically 10-30 MPa) to the raw materials through either hydraulic or mechanical vibration, compacting and shaping them into bricks.
Hydraulic pressure provides stable pressure and uniform brick density, making it suitable for high-strength bricks (such as load-bearing standard bricks).
Vibration pressure densifies the raw materials through high-frequency vibration, making it suitable for hollow blocks and permeable bricks.
Demolding and Curing
After forming, the mold is separated by a demolding mechanism, and the bricks are transported to the curing area.
